ABOUT USJohn Wiseheart, Au.D. is a Florida licensed audiologist specializing in hearing protection and rehabilitation. A resident of Gainesville since 1983, Dr. Wiseheart completed both his undergraduate and graduate education at the University of Florida. After graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in English, he completed his Master's in Audiology in 1992 and earned his Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) in 1993. He earned his Doctorate Degree in Audiology in 2003. For over thirteen years, Dr. Wiseheart has worked as an audiologist in medical, rehabilitation and educational settings, serving both pediatric and adult populations in the community of North Central Florida. Dr. Wiseheart is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA). Becky Wiseheart, M.A., CCC-SLP is a Florida licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) specializing in pediatric language disorders. She received both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Florida. A school-based SLP since 1993, Mrs. Wiseheart has provided speech, language and reading services to children ages 3-18 and was honored as her school's Teacher of the Year in 2003. Throughout her career, Mrs. Wiseheart has been committed to improving the quality of public school services available to children with dyslexia. In 1999, she was actively involved in establishing a charter school for students with dyslexia. She was also awarded a grant from the Marion County Public Education Foundation to fund a phonological awareness intervention program which served over 100 kindergarten students. Mrs. Wiseheart has presented at school-based and district-wide professional development meetings and was an adjunct instructor in the College of Education at Nova Southeastern University. She is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and the International Dyslexia Association (IDA). |
